What's New In Dominical for 2020

Dominical is a bustling surfer town, growing each year with new independent businesses and fun adventure tours. As locals to the area we’ve rounded up what’s new and exciting for you to do and experience whilst you’re here.

We’ve Got A New Home And Upgraded Our Kit

For this season we’ve got a new tent pitched at the entrance to Dominical. We’re really excited to welcome all our guests to our new location. Here, you can meet us before your tour, book your tour, purchase your inflight pictures, browse our new merch or just hang out with the crew.

We’ve also got brand new paragliding equipment for your enjoyment and safety. We pride ourselves on putting your safety first and that’s why we invest in new equipment every season. This season you can spot us flying in Dominical on the blue and orange paraglider. Those interested in what this is, it’s the BiGolden 4 from Gradient. This glider is an agile tandem with good performance and great handling. What that means for passengers, is that you will be flying on a paraglider with the newest technology making the glider safer but also more fun, this glider enters and exits fun acrobatic movements with style, ensuring a smooth ride for all passengers.

Book your tandem flight now and experience the fun for yourself.

Lapa Surf School

Good friend and local surf talent Simón Brinkhoff recently opened Lapa Surf School. Simón is such a good teacher that even beginners will be riding their first waves by the end of the class and feeling zen after connecting with the ocean in a new way. Let Simón know your surfing level and where you are and he will bring the classes to you on any beach between Uvita and Dominical. Whether you’re a first-time goer or looking for some tips to improve your surfing, Simon has lessons to suit everyone. Pura Vida!

Surf lessons are 2 hours and from $60 (USD) per person. Surf board, rash guard, water, fruit and snacks are all included in your lesson.

Breakfast at Fuego

Our favourite local brewery and restaurant are now open even earlier serving breakfast and their own brand of roasted coffee. If you thought you knew about coffee, think again when you meet their coffee specialist, who can explain all about how to ensure you have the best cup of coffee. From weighing the coffee grounds and water to handpicking the beans, making coffee is a true art. If coffee isn’t your thing there’s no need to worry, you can have your favourite cocktail or beer served up with your breakfast.

Serving up cold fresh bowls of goodness, Sol is more than just a frozen yoghurt stand. Find it near the entrance to Dominical main street (next door to our new Paragliding Tent). This is the perfect choice for a healthy breakfast or afternoon snack to cool off from the heat of the day.
